How To Stay Motivated All Day Long

We all have those days where we feel like doing nothing, and these are okay but only every once in a while to relax and wind down. At the end of a non-productive day you feel worthless, you have accomplished nothing and wasted a day so when it happens too often it can get you down. So start changing your days, beginning with the morning that is the most important part of the day. If you wake up feeling tired and unenthusiastic, it will be hard to shake this feeling off for the rest of the day.

Wake Up Bright and Early

Too much sleep can cause us to feel more tired and lethargic. Getting the right amount of sleep is essential but too much is bad and will leave you feeling unmotivated. Try and wake up as early as possible, around 7 am so you have more time in the morning to achieve things. When you reach lunchtime, you will feel great about how much you have already got done. If it is difficult, the first few mornings just persevere as your body is adjusting, and it will become normal soon enough.

Healthy Diet

Drink plenty of water throughout the day and especially when you wake up. Keeping your body hydrated is important for energy levels and staying focused. Start your day with a rich and healthy breakfast that is the most important meal and will give you energy for the rest of the day.

Get Moving

Beginning your day with exercise no matter how intense is very beneficial. Your blood will get flowing, and more oxygen gets pumped to the brain, so you feel refreshed, energetic and ready for the day ahead. Even just a few laps up and down the stairs or a 10 minute jog is enough.

Plan Your Day

Before you begin your daily tasks, organize and plan your day ahead. This can help you complete more tasks, plus you can prioritize them and put them in order of where you will start. Then you have a plan of your day which will help you feel motivated, not waste any time and be more productive.

Meditation

Even if you’re not one for meditation, just take a few minutes in the morning to clear your mind, forget about any distractions and find your focus (learn more about meditation). This will leave you feeling more stimulated and see an increase in production for the day.
